Anuradhapura > Wilpattu > Anuradhapura

Early morning with packed breakfast at the hotel proceed to Wilpattu National Park for a game ride at the park. Enjoy the morning game drive from 6:00am to 9:00am. After breakfast at the hotel enjoy a city tour in the sacred city of Anuradhapura; – a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the north central part of the Island was the first capital (5th century BC – 9th century AD), the center of the island’s Buddhist civilization and undoubtedly the grandest city of ancient Sri Lanka. The oldest historically documented tree on earth (over 2,200 years old) – The Sri Maha Bodhi, brought as a sampling of the tree under which the Buddha attained enlightenment, and the island’s oldest Buddhist shrines – some dating back to the 3rd century BC, impressive white ‘dagobas’ (relic chambers) and monuments embellished with handsome stone carvings or sculpture, pleasure gardens, beautifully executed stone baths and ponds and a superb irrigation system of reservoirs and canals are the main attractions of Anuradhapura.

Dambulla > Kandy

After a hearty breakfast at the hotel enjoy a quick visit to the Dambulla Rock Cave temples; that consists of five different caves dedicated for many Gods and Goddesses. The cave is said to be one of the only remaining cave temples in the Island and has identical painting on the cave walls and ceiling that are identical to the Ajanta Caves of India.
Continue the journey to Kandy; you have the option to enjoy a quick visit to the Temple of the Tooth Relic of Kandy, believed to be the house of the Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha. The Tooth Relic was found and the temple was built by King Wimaladharmasuriya the first and ever since the pre-historic pageant of “Esala Perahera” takes place every year in July/August for ten days. After breakfast at the hotel visit Kandy town and enjoy a visit to a Batik factory and shop for antiques and jeweler where Kandy is an icon for. Relax the morning at the hotel and check out at the hotel by 12:00 hours and begin the journey to Adam’s Peak. The destination can be reached via Ginigathhena or via Nuwara Eliya to open the frame work to explore more of Sri Lanka especially with a stop at one of the tea factories for a freshly brewed cup of tea of your choice.
Late arrival at Adam’s peak is suggested where you can refresh at the hotel and after a locally produced dinner, commence the hike to Adam’s Peak. Its best visited during the festival period from November full moon Poya to April full moon Poya day where devotees hike Adam’s peak with hope and prayers to Lord Buddha.

After breakfast at the hotel check out and proceed to Kelaniya Temple complex, The Kelaniya Raja Maha Viharaya is one of the most sacred worshipping places of the Buddhists of Sri Lanka since it is a site made hallowed by the visit of Lord Buddha. In the past Kelaniya itself was a large city. The spot on which this vihara stands derived its sanctity in the Buddhist era 2531, with the third visit of the Buddha to this country. He hallowed this ground by His visit accompanied by 500 Arahants. The fact that the Buddha visited the spot on a Wesak day on the invitation of King Maniakkhika is given in the historic epics of Sri Lanka.
The next stop will be at Gangarama Temple complex and Seema Malaka Temple surrounded by the Baira lake. Join the evening Pooja at Gangarama Temple complex. Check in to hotel.
