Day - 01
Airport > Negombo

Arrive at Colombo International Airport. Please clear immigration & visa formalities, collect your baggage and proceed to the arrival lounge through the green channel if you do not have goods to be declared to customs. Travel Design representative will page you by your name. Thereafter you will be assisted with a transfer to the hotel in Negombo, a small luxury hotel just 15 minutes away from the International Airport. Relax after your long journey.

Negombo > Habarana > Sigiriya

After breakfast travel to Dambulla the hub of Sri Lanka’s cultural triangle. Located in the north central part of the island, Dambulla is a part of Sri Lanka’s dry zone. Thanks to the genius of our ancient kings dating as far as the 05th Century AD, the Sri Lankan Dry Zone is anything but dry, with hundreds of lakes and reservoirs which are connected by an elaborate network of canals making up an old but great irrigation system. Aside from the benefit for agriculture and industry, the waterworks of the dry zone provide some of the most breathtakingly beautiful scenery and fertile habitat for the islands incredible bio-diversity. Remaining of the evening is free to relax or have a walk.
Afternoon proceed to Habarana for the Chena Village Experience. Also enjoy Bullock cart ride will take visitors through the village of Hiriwaduna, to a banana plantation where ripe bananas can be tasted and savoured fresh. Cross a scenic reservoir by Oruwa (traditional boat), its long, narrow shape  gliding effortlessly on the water, to visit a Chena cultivation, where in the shade of a tree house of mud and thatched Palm leaves, the village of Hiriwaduna can be surveyed. On the return journey guests can drop by the house of a native and enjoy aromatic Ginger Tea and Jaggery. Then, a stop at a local Kamatha (Paddy field) for lunch, to be treated to delicious local cuisine served on lotus leaves by a village family.  Overnight stay at hotel

Sigiriya

After breakfast leave for Hingurakgoda to see and experience the only SEED to SHELF Agriculture Company in Sri Lanka. We spend the whole day in the farm so that we would not miss any activity which is They produce a variety of Agriculture & Livestock products like Seed Paddy, Rice, Fruits, Vegetables, Eggs, Yoghurt, Curd etc. for the local and export market. The total extent of the farm is around 1,300 acres out of which 700 acres are under paddy cultivation which cultivation carryout both Yala and Maha season. Afternoon indulge yourself in a cooking demonstration with the Chef. The Guest can visit the farm and pluck their own fresh vegetables for them to do the cooking demonstration followed by the lunch.
The farm receives irrigation water from the Minneriya reservoir to produce high quality seed paddy. The highland area of the farm is utilized for production of perennial crops, vegetables, Agri Eco tourism and livestock. Visit to Dairy Farm, Plant Nursery, Home Garden, Banana Project fertilizing units will enhance you with immense information. Sigiriya

After breakfast visit the 5th century old Sigiriya Rock Fortress. The palace still has remains of four indoor swimming pools where the King’s 500 concubines bathed, a complex water arteries in the walls that provided natural air conditioning during the hot climate. The mirror walls of the Sigiriya rock still retain the world famous frescoes of the king’s concubines, who originated from all parts of the world. Relax for the rest of the day. Sigiriya > Matale > Kandy

Leave after breakfast for Kandy, stopping en route in Matale spice growing region for special insight to some unique Sri Lankan agriculture. Up on arrival to Kandy explore the town and visit Temple of the Tooth Relic, which houses the Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha. The Tooth is kept in a two-story shrine fronted by two large elephant tusks and rests on a gold lotus flower, encased in jeweled casket that sits on a throne. The temple is decorated with beautiful local paintings and architectural features. Visit the Gem museum and in the Evening enjoy upper Lake Drive and watch a cultural show before finishing your day.

Day - 06
Kandy > Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and proceed to Nuwara Eliya, where you get to learn about tea plantation. “Camellia Sinensis”, most commonly known as the tea plant was first introduced to Sri Lanka by Sir James Taylor. On the way to Nuwara Eliya, take the de-tour to visit the first tea field of Sri Lanka planted by Sir James Taylor.
Arrive at Nuwara Eliya; visit Labookelle Tea Estate to witness the process of manufacturing black tea out of freshly plucked leaf tea. The tea manufacturing process is a step wise process that is being used by the Sri Lankan Tea industry for many years, known as the unorthodox method. The most interesting process is the tea grades that can make up to a zillion blends depending on the color, aroma and the size of the leaf. You will be provided with details on all blends and grading methods as you experience across the tea factory.
Arrive at the bungalow after sipping a freshly brewed Ceylon Tea. Overnight stay.

Day - 07
Nuwara Eliya

This morning after breakfast at the bungalow, visit the fresh dairy farm of Ambewella, Sri Lanka’s own brand of dairy products together with the expertise of New Zealand’s research and development being used to produce the fresh products of Ambewella.
Relax the evening by Gregory Lake; enjoy a boat ride and canoeing at the lake. Can stop at Adman’s restaurant for some of the freshly made strawberry pancakes. Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.

Nuwara Eliya > Colombo
