Upon arrival at the airport, you will be welcomed by our Travel Design Representative and will be introduced you to your chauffeur guide who will conduct the tour, and will guide and assist you throughout your time in Sri Lanka. Arrive at Colombo, the commercial capital of Sri Lanka, check in at the hotel, relax and spend your afternoon at leisure. You will be met by Travel Design Advisers in the evening for a welcome complementary dinner at Cinnamon Grand Hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, check out and proceed to Bandarawela, tranquil hill country, lesser known hidden gem of Sri Lanka. Less crowded, less packed with tourists, Bandarawela is a quiet and with a cool climate, is also known for tea plantation. Check in at the hotel, relax and spend the evening at leisure.
After a relaxed breakfast at the hotel, today will be the day that you will be dressed in a beautiful white dress as one of those beautiful and amazing brides of them all!!!! You chauffer guide will wait at the entrance of the resort to pick your husband to be first and drive him to the location and a second car will come to pick you from the hotel so that two will arrive at the waterfall Dunhinda for the ceremony separately (as per the Sri Lankan culture and tradition, however this is optional).
Arrive at the waterfall and the traditional dancers will welcome you and your husband to be to the “Poruwa”, known to be one of the most traditional ceremonies for weddings. The concept evolved over 2000 years ago, and “Poruwa” ceremony is naturally an outdoor event where an elderly person would do the chanting of the rituals in an elevated platform for the community to know and join in celebration.
This traditional ceremony evokes blessings as you begin your wedded life, and creates memories that lasts a lifetime. After the ceremony (time will be notified later) dinner will be served at the Dunhinda falls itself as a celebration and thanks giving meal. Once the dinner is over, your car will await to drive you back to the hotel in Ella for your honeymoon night!!! A wine bottle will be given to you on complementary basis; overnight stay will be in Ella.
Relax the morning after breakfast at the luxurious resort; be pampered with a fine treatment at the spa which will be on complementary basis up to one treatment each. Alternatively you have the option to enjoy a visit to the Small Adam’s Peak or Ella Gap covering Ravana Ella Falls and visit a tea plantation in Ella and learn about the process of manufacturing black tea. After breakfast move towards Gal Oya National Park; Located within the South East of Sri Lanka and to west of Ampara, Gal Oya National Park was established in the year 1965 being a part of one of Sri Lanka’s lesser known hidden gems inhabited with evergreen forests, savanna with 32 species of mammals and over 150 species of birds visible throughout the park.
Gal Oya National Park is well known for Senanayaka Samudraya where a short boat ride can take you to join the gentle giants crossing the river as a migration path. Once the boat stops to a halt you will get to see the swimming elephants of Senanayaka Samudraya which is a rare and unforgettable experience. Overnight stay at Gal Oya Lodge
Spend the morning exploring the Gal Oya National Park. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, relax by the lodge, and enjoy a swim by the pool, surrounded by lush greenery. Overnight stay at the eco lodge
After breakfast at the eco lodge, check out and proceed to Kandy, a proud heritage of Sri Lanka and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which is also a bustling hill country with a weightage for the Buddhist Culture in Sri Lanka. Kandy was made a world heritage site in the year 1988 and the city lies on a plain surrounded by virgin hills and tea plantation. Check in at the hotel, relax and spend the evening at leisure, overnight stay at the hotel.
