Day - 01
Airport > Negombo

On arrival at the airport you will be welcomed by our airport representative who will be paging your name at the airport. Once in the comfort of the well-spaced, clean and comfortable vehicle sit back and enjoy a king coconut, a welcoming and refreshing beverage in Sri Lanka. Your chauffer guide will drive you to your first night’s rest stop. Jetwing Lagoon; a Geoffrey Bawa property famous for its beauty and location, you will get to enjoy a swim in the pool overlooking the Negombo Lagoon. Overnight stay will be in Negombo.

Negombo > Anuradhapura > Dambulla

After a scrumptious breakfast at the hotel, start your journey to Anuradhapura; a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is the capital of Sri Lanka from the 05th Century B.C. to the end of the 10th Century A. D. was the most celebrated of Sri Lanka’s ancient ruined cities. The greatest treasures of the city are dagobas constructed of bricks and are hemispherical in shape. The highlights in the ancient city are namely; Ruvanveliseya, Jetavanarama, Thuparamaya, Sri Maha Bodhi Tree and Samadhi Statue. Isurumuniya Temple is also famous as this is the temple where ceremonies for Rain God were performed. Abhayagiri, Lankarama and Mirisawetiya are some of the iconic sites to be covered during your visit to Anuradhapura holy city.
On your way back to Dambulla, stop at Aukana Buddha Statue; a pre-historic, most magnificent and undamaged ancient image is 46 feet in height is the most beautiful rock cut Buddha Statue is the Island, if not the world.

Day - 03
Dambulla > Polonnaruwa > Minneriya > Dambulla

After breakfast leave for Polonnaruwa. Built in the 11th and 12th centuries AD, Polonnaruwa is another UNESCO World Heritage Site. It comprises the Brahmanism monuments built by the South Indian Cholas, and the ruins of the fabulous garden-city created by Parakramabahu I during the golden age of Polonnaruwa in the 12th century. Here you can see the ruins of the Royal Palace, the Gal Vihara, the Audience Hall, the Lotus Bath, King Parakramabahu statue, and the remains of a former Temple of the Tooth Relic.
Thereafter proceed to your hotel and in the evening visit Minneriya National Park and do a jeep safari in Minneriya. During the dry season (June to September), this tank is an incredible place to observe the elephants who come to bathe and graze, as well as the huge flocks of birds that come to fish in the shallow waters.

Dambulla > Sigiriya > Habarana > Dambulla

After breakfast at the hotel hike the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Sigiriya, a 5th Century “Fortress in the Sky”, or in other words “Single Wonder of the Island”. It is also known as Lion Rock because of the huge lion that used to stand at the entrance to the Palace summit of the 600-foot high rock. On its very summit is the foundation of the Royal Palace, Water Tanks to supply water and all other buildings and at the edges the guardhouses. You will also get to enjoy the breathtaking view of the famous Sigiriya Frescoes of 21 life sized damsels still shining in their original colors. The water gardens, fountain gardens, summer houses, boulder gardens and the caves within the enclosed area should not be missed.
In the evening proceed to Habarana for a walk and a boat ride. Watch out for the branches as you pass quiet, calm and peaceful villages in the area. Overnight stay at the hotel in Dambulla

Dambulla > Kandy

Leave after breakfast for Kandy, stopping En-route in Matale spice growing region for special insight to some unique Sri Lankan agriculture. First stop at a coconut plantation to learn about the multitude of uses of this fascinating tree; see how the coconut is husked and its fibers used to make rope. Witness the collection of the sweet coconut water for a refreshing drink, the use of the coconut kernel for the extraction of coconut milk which forms the base for most Sri Lankan curries and the production of honey and sweet jaggery from sap collected from the coconut flower. Proceed to Kandy on reaching we check-in at the hotel relax until 6:00 pm then get ready to enjoy a drum and dance cultural show before concluding the day.

Kandy

After breakfast at the hotel, drive out to Peradeniya Botanical Garden. This 147-acre garden was first built as a pleasure garden by a Sinhala king and was later expanded by the British. It offers an amazing variety of trees, plants, and flowers. Return to Kandy the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings and listed as another UNESCO world heritage site. The name “Kandy” conjures visions of splendor and magnificence. Many of the legends, traditions, and folklore are still lovingly kept alive. Drive around Kandy Lake, built by the last Sinhala king, Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe in 1798. Visit Kandy town and bazaar, the arts and crafts center, a gem museum, and a lapidary. Also visit the Temple of Tooth Relic in Kandy. Stay overnight at Hotel.

Kandy > Nuwara Eliya

After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, check out and proceed to Colombo; the trade and commercial capital has long been the traditional gateway to the Orient. Sri Lanka’s largest city, it is located on the west coast and draws together all the cultures, religions and influences of foreign lands into a pot-pourri of sounds, smells and a kaleidoscope of color. The original traders and settlers – the Arabs, Portuguese, Dutch and the British have left in their wake churches and monuments, names and religions, costumes and food and smatterings of their languages which have been absorbed into the speech of the Sri Lankan. Other places of interest are the beautiful Buddhist temples, Hindu temples, mosques, the historic Wolfendhal church, (1749) residential areas where you find the stately homes of the affluent, the Colombo Museum, the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall, the New Parliament in Sri Jayewardenepura, the Folk Art Centre, Art Galleries, Parks, Independence Square, the Ceramic Corporation famous for its well-known brand “Noritake” and ODEL the renowned shopping center, and MC.
