First class carriage and Observation carriage both are available from Colombo to Badulla and first class carriages are available from Colombo to the down south and to Jaffna as well. Train tickets for first class and observation carriages can be booked in advance to secure the seats.

Buses

Local buses can add to the excitement and to the overall experience when visiting Sri Lanka. There are luxury buses and as well as local buses that can be included to your holiday package. The bus journey to Jaffna is the most suitable journey that can be recommended for luxury bus services. The bus service within Colombo can also be recommended while the usual local bus services can be a little hectic but a good experience.

Three-Wheeler

Three-wheeler or most commonly known as the “Tuk-Tuk” ride is one of the best experiences of Ceylon. The Tuk journeys can be organized in any part of the island and most Tuk drivers would now have a meter which will show the amount to be paid per kilometer. Based on the fare you can decide whether or not to take a Tuk journey. We at Travel Design also arrange special Tuk-Tuk journeys through Colombo, using out local networks of suppliers that will introduce you to the highlights of Colombo.

Domestic passenger flights

We can also arrange flights for your transfers between two destinations. For long journeys such as Colombo to Jaffna, or Colombo to Batticaloe, it is best to take the internal flights and for those guests who are interested in experiencing a fly away experience, scenic journeys such as Colombo to Nuwara Eliya, Colombo to Kandy or to Koggala can be arranged. We also have the charter flight option for small traveler groups which is a personalized service.
