Day - 03
Kandy > Minneriya / Kaudulla > Dambulla

  • Drive : About 3 ½ hours
  • Hotel : Dambale Boutique Chalets, Dambulla
  • Highlights :
Chalet rooms, Bed and Breakfast Basis

We as a team honor the meaning of ecotourism. Therefore our tour plan is to give the chance for you to capture the beauty of wild life without interrupting the lifestyles of animals. A Safari ride in Kaudulla National park nestled in the middle of the cultural triangle is a great example for the above declaration as the jeep ride along the paths of the park is an incomparable way of discovering the living patterns of the gentle and intelligent elephants.
When the warmth of the sunlight fades and the cool breeze start swirling around chilling the atmosphere, you can see some giant shadows coming out of the evergreen forests of Minneriya National Park to “The Gathering” (April to November) which is the get together of the elephants and the tuskers living all around the North Central Province of Sri Lanka. The event is sort of a celebration of wild giants who reach the Minneriya Reservoir searching for water to quench their thirst in dry season and an epic chance for the travelers who want to observe the behavior patterns of the elephants while maintaining the distance without disturbing them. Open your eyes and trace the image of the calves cuddling to mother elephants and the male elephants guarding them or some teenage elephants playing with the gang. Return to hotel.
