Feather Trail Circuit

The Feather Trail Circuit

Overview

Across sixteen days, The Feather Trail Circuit traces the full breadth of Sri Lanka's avifauna - from the RAMSAR wetlands of Anawilundawa and the ancient “villu” forests of Wilpattu, to the migratory flyways of Mannar, the cloud forests of Horton Plains, and the endemic-rich canopy of Sinharaja. Along the way, ancient fortresses, sacred temples and an encounter with Sri Lanka's indigenous Veddah community add cultural depth to a journey built for the serious birder. With over 300 recorded species and more than twenty endemics across eleven distinct habitats, this circuit is guided throughout by a specialist naturalist, with private night safaris, boat safaris and jungle walks woven in alongside considered, comfortable stays at each stop. It is less a checklist than an immersion - Sri Lanka's wild interior, read one wingbeat at a time.
