After breakfast at the resort, proceed to Sigiriya; 5th century Sigiriya Rock Fortress. This world
heritage site, consists of the remains of a palace on the top of the rock, a mid-level terrace
that includes the Lion Gate and the mirror wall with its frescoes of the ‘Heavenly Maidens’,
the lower palace on the slopes below the rock, and the moats, walls and water gardens that

After breakfast at the resort, proceed to Polonnaruwa Medieval Capital.
Polonnaruwa was established as Sri Lanka’s medival capital after the fall and destruction of
Anuradhapura at the hands of the Cholan invaders from India. Polonnaruwa contains various
masterpieces of Buddhist sculpture and architecture, as well as, remarkable feats of engineering that
are widely regarded as ahead of their time. The most famous of these masterpieces is the Gal Vihara,
with its famous rock carvings of Lord Buddha; The Sacred Quadrangle, which includes the Vatadage,
used to hold the Tooth of Lord Buddha; and the Parakrama Samudra, or the sea of Parakrama in
English, is man made reservoir (or tank) stretching over 23 kilometers which is prime example of the

After having breakfast, check out and head over to the last kingdom of Sri Lanka, Kandy.
En route visit Matale Spice Gardens & Batik Factories.
Batik is an old artistic techinique used to turn cloth and clothing into pieces of art by waxresist dying them. Sri Lanka is one of the worlds leading exponents of this technique. The
exhibition area and factory provide examples of plain and simple to complex and colourful
masterpieces of batik. Visiting the factory will permit you to discover the different stages of
making a batik.
Upon arriving at Kandy, check in and relax until the late evening.

Evening proceed to visit Famous Kandy Esala Perahara (With dinner packets or after an early
dinner) Return and overnight stay at the golden crown hotel kandy

After breakfast at the hotel, visit the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya.
In the evening, visit the Sacred Temple of Tooth which is also called the “Dalada Maligawa”
by the local Buddhists. It is considered one of the most venerable places of visits to a Buddhist.
We suggest you be there during the thewawa time, which depicts the ancient rituals and
customs.Evening proceed to visit Famous Kandy Esala Perahara for the second time (With dinner
packets or after an early dinner)

After breakfast at the hotel, Check out and proceed to the commercial capital of Colombo.
En route visit a tea factory & Millennium Elephant foundation at Pinnawela.
Visit Millennium Elephant foundation
The foundation is located near Pinnawala and aims to help in the conservation of Elephants,
a species threatened with extinction. The elephants on site are well fed, nursed and washed
regularly by the team of veterinarians. They are brought to the foundation in order to cure
them from certain diseases free of charge. One can visit a small museum which hosts several
photos, stories and articles of elephants as well the elephant poo paper factory. You can help
the team wash and scrub the elephants by joining them in a stream, so please don’t forget to
bring a change of clothes!
