Having arrived in Sri Lanka you will be greeted by both our Travel Design representative and the chauffeur guide at the airport itself. Take a leisurely drive, just under an hour into Colombo, the commercial capital of Sri Lanka and check in to your hotel. Get pampered by a wide range of international and Asian cuisine and recover any Jet lag and spend your time at leisure. Overnight stay will be in Global Towers, Colombo.
After an early breakfast at the hotel commence the journey to Yala; take the scenic route via the Southern Expressway passing rubber estates, tea fields and paddy fields, three of the most contributing industries of Sri Lanka. Arrive at the camp site in time for lunch where you will be introduced to the safety aspect of the camp site. Soon you will be beginning the first safari from 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm. Enjoy a BBQ dinner whilst enjoying some of the spirits and wines offered by the camp site.
Early morning wakeup call will be by 5:15 hours to be ready for the morning safari from 6:00 am to 9:00 am. Explore the wild life beauty of Yala. Sri Lanka is the only country outside of Africa that can boast of five charismatic animals out of which three of them can be spotted in Yala National Park namely Leopard, Elephant and Sloth Bear. Evening safari will be from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Dinner will be served following the secret recipes of the game rangers who are highly experienced. Listen to the various stories and experiences that the rangers would share with you. Overnight at the camp site.
After the morning safari from 6:00 am to 9:00 am enjoy a late breakfast at the camp site and proceed to Mirissa. Check in at the hotel in Mirissa, relax by the beach, and spend the evening at leisure. Mirissa is commonly known for the relaxed and calm beach from December to April. Overnight stay in Mirissa.
Early morning proceed to Mirissa Water Sports Center for a whale and dolphin watching cruise from 6:30 am onward which will take you into the deep blue sea where the ever smiling dolphins and cheerful whales will join you. Capture moments with nature as you witness the Blue whale and the sperm whale completing the Big Five of Ceylon. Overnight stay in Mirissa.
As all good things comes to an end, after your relaxed breakfast at the hotel, check out and proceed to the airport for your flight home. If time permits do enjoy a stop in Colombo for some last minute shopping.
