Yala National Park

Being the second largest National Park in Sri Lanka, is also well known for its 90% strike rate for Leopards and records highest records of leopards per square kilometer in the whole of Asia. Sri Lanka being the only country outside of Africa that can boast of five big charismatic animals records the sightings of Sri Lankan Elephants and Sloth bear at Yala National Park in addition to water buffaloes, deer, samba, wild boar, deer, a range of endemic birds to Sri Lanka and crocodiles are only a few to be named.

Besides being the most visited National Park in Sri Lanka, Yala ensures all wild life fans to experience the best of wild life in Sri Lanka within a short period of time. A minimum of two safaris would be sufficient during the season from mid-November to mid-April for the best outcome for morning safaris from 6:00am to 9:00am and evening safari from 3:00pm to 6:00pm.
